중후한 목소리의 스텐다드 팝계의 원로 제리 베일(Jerry Vale)은 할아버지대에
이태리에서 이주한 이태리계 미국인으로 뉴욕 브롱크스에서 태어났다
할아버지와 할머니, 어머니 등이 뛰어난 가창력을 지닌 전형적으로 노래를
잘하는 이태리 집안에서 성장하면서 어려서부터 이태리 노래들을 배웠다고 한다.
Jerry Vale의 기립갈채 라는 타이틀의 카네기 홀 64년 공연실황 음반은
대단히 귀한 음반으로 샌프란시스코에 두고온 마음 등 몇 곡의 스탠더드 팝송
과 스윙 밴드 리듬에 맞춰 부르는 빠른 리듬의 곡들을 비롯해서 오 솔레미오
